It was the first Japanese sports car produced in 1967 and was said to rival the Porsche. And, it was made famous in the same year by the James Bond movie “You Only Live Twice” whereby the car was mainly driven by the beautiful Japanese agent “Aki” ferrying Bond around Osaka. But that convertible version was custom made for the 6’2 Sean Connery (so that his head won’t poke through the roof) and was never mass produced.
