Very rare vintage Airfix James Bond Toyota 2000GT from You Only Live Twice. 1/24 Scale Kit from 1968. The box is in great condition for its age as you’ll see from pictures. My Dad started this in the sixties but didn’t get very far ; There’s some over-glueing on a few parts like the wheels (please see pics) but with patience and a careful scalpel I’m sure this can be rectified. I’ve no reason to believe the kit isn’t complete but as. The instructions are gone. I can’t guarantee it. If you know this kit then hopefully the photo showing all the pieces will suffice. Based on the 1964 movie “Goldfinger” driven by Bond. This beautiful kit comes with many features. 1 Figures of James Bond with briefcase and gun and Odd Job throwing his Bowler hat. 2 Options for ejector seat, flipping number plates, tire shredders, rear bulletproof screen, steering wheels, internal radar, front machine guns, overriders. 3 Chrome and clear parts, rubber tires, colorful decals, etc. The Doyusha 1/20 Toyota 2000GT is another rare kit from 1994. It was the first Japanese sports car produced in 1967 and was said to rival the Porsche. And, it was made famous in the same year by the James Bond movie “You Only Live Twice” whereby the car was mainly driven by the beautiful Japanese agent “Aki” ferrying Bond around Osaka. But that convertible version was custom made for the 6 foot Sean Connery (so that his head won’t poke through the roof) and was never mass produced.
